I got this from peacewish.

Respond to this post and I shall:

1. Tell you why I friended you.

2. Associate you with something.

3. Tell you something I like about you.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.
Yeah, sorry, you gotta. That's the deal. That means you kind of have to be an LJ friend, or at least, we must have had something one could call an exchange. If you and I have never commented on each other's journals, it's not going to work for obvious reasons.
However, I am willing to make exceptions on #8 for anonymous posters who have commented regularly (as in at least three times in the entire 6-year history I've been posting), and who have given me a name or some other type of moniker so I know who they are.

People who respond will get a PM from me letting them know approximately when they can expect my response. It's probably going to take me a couple of weeks at this point (Sept 30th, evening) because my friend is arriving from Japan tomorrow and my non-working hours are going to be quite busy for the next two weeks! But I truly will get back to everyone eventually!

UPDATE: This meme is now closed. Thanks to those who came to play! If there's anyone who missed it and regrets it, don't worry, there will be others.

1. Tell you why I friended you.

Well, my policy is to pretty-much return-friend anyone who shows the shocking good taste of wanting to be friends with me, so when you friended me, I friended you!

2. Associate you with something.

Incredibly exciting, energizing, creative and well-made Fake AMV's on youtube! Like this one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_bpmUs2DDk&feature=youtu.be

3. Tell you something I like about you.

I'll tell you several things I like about you. You have a lot of common sense and you have a kind heart. Also, you really know how to appreciate the little things, like sunshine and the quiet pleasure of being at home. And you're a devoted big sis.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

Oh, I have a lot, just from your many posts, of course. But I'll pick one or two. I always think of that 'running giraffe' comment, which was funny, and also that time when I was complaining about Fluffy taking up too much of the bed, and you shared about your bedtime power struggles with Steffi. I used to have a German boyfriend, and his ex (whom he bitched about under the influence of alcohol) was called Steffi!

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

I should have actually taken this one out because I know so little about other fandoms, and I don't know which other fandom pairings you're interested in. So I guess I'll have to say Dee and Ryo!

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

What are your future/current career plans?

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

Well, there weren't all that many to choose from, and even though I really like this one https://twimg0-a.akamaihd.net/profile_images/2489205515/gfp41xuiihhuoa4pm24w.jpeg , I think the one I like the best is this little one of the lady with the butterfly http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/115731960/45972803 because that's the one I see the most often. P.S. That was you in Deviant Art, right? I haven't logged on there for years but I did so today.

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.

Go for it! It can be your first LJ post. And I'll come and play on your LJ.

Edited at 2012-09-28 11:40 pm (UTC)

I was smiling throughout your entire post, especially when you mentioned the funny coincidence with "Steffi". Thanks so much for all your kind words! :)

I'd love to become an author in the future. But since it's very unlikely that I would make enough money in this way, I plan on becoming a media designer. I'm already writing one application after the other to get an apprenticeship for next year. If I don't get one, I'll go to university and study Creative Writing or Psychology.

Oh yeah, that was me in DeviantArt. I knew that you would recognize my avatar! (By the way, the "lady with the butterfly" is actually me, hehe. I can't help but feel flattered that you like that one the most!)

Yeah, I've created a "real" LJ account now and I even have two entries already! I'm a genius, aren't I? But I still have to get used to how LJ works. And I hope it won't get too boring at my LJ page, because I'm not sure yet what I'll post there. Probably just some random babbling. And maybe some fanfiction in the future, but don't get your hopes up, I'm not sure about that either.

Anyway, I hope you'll kinda like my LJ, not matter what I'll post there in the future!

I can't believe I didn't respond to this. I really thought I had. Sometimes I just think about doing something and then I don't actually do it, but the memory of thinking about it makes me think I really did it.

Anyway--! You put yourself in an avatar! I think I should take your tutorial and learn how to do that. Maybe I can hide most of my facial identity behind Fluffy's furriness or something.

I hope you can be both a media designer AND an author.

I promise to haunt your LJ. Loved the post about the trip to Belgium. I can totally believe how expensive the chocolates were.

Oh, your avatar looks delicious! Yum! (Glancing over at my desk where I still keep a big bag of very expensive belgian chocolates - but no, I'm not eating those, they are for a friend. Damn, it's hard to resist though!)

I hope my tutorial works. I've never written one before, especially not in english. But I'm thinking about writing some more tutorials - maybe something like "How to add colour to manga scans" or "How to make a napkin-rose".

Hit me!

1. Tell you why I friended you.

Well, I haven't friended you because you don't have an LJ account, but if you did, I would totally friend you! And why? So we could have fun analyzing all those little FAKE character details together!

2. Associate you with something.

This one entailed an investigation, so I googled 'pyreflysky' and found some stuff. I now associate you with... Photography! I totally want those doughnuts with the chocolate curls. Like right now because I need sugar but I'm trying not to eat any because my dress is feeling a little tight. Apparently you're also a fanfic author on something called y gallery which I found but then could not navigate satisfactorily enough to be able to find you.

3. Tell you something I like about you.

Your analytical mind! Your sense of humor. Your compassion. Your clever way with words.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

There are not too many yet due to the short nature of our association, but the time when you said you'd put money on Ted going through with the pegging has really stuck in my memory and makes me smile every time I think of it!

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

That would be Drake and JJ, since you've read 'Now' a hundred times!

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

The thing I was planning to ask before I did my little google search was "Do you write?" because you're so articulate that I figured if you didn't, you ought to be encouraged to start. But I got the answer to that one, so I'll have to think of another question. Hmmm.... Which to choose? How about 'If you could BE one or the other, as well as be in a relationship with the other, which one would you want to be-- Drake or JJ?'

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

You're not on LJ, so I return to your photos, and yes we're back to that doughnut pic. :D Sorry, one track mind here. Damn it's a good thing I go to the gym every day.

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.

Well, if you ever get a journal, you must post this, okay?

Re: Hit me!

Awww so flattering! ^//^

I can't believe you did research, I take it from the doughnut pics you found my dead Deviant Art (as mentioned before, not an artist and I just wanted something to be in the gallery so it didn't look so dead!).

Y Gallery, yeah I have quite a bit of work up on there but that's all set up so only members can see (most of the work being of the mature variety). I haven't written any serious fan fiction in quite a while though, not really felt the vibe, will have to get back to that someday!

Yes, it is of my opinion that Ted went through with it, in a kinda "show no fear" way that cops have, talking himself out of it would have required showing weakness that he never would have lived down with Dee, he secretly quite liked it... and then he never spoke of it again.

I think I'm the only person in the fandom who doesn't think Berkeley is a dick, I definately seem to be in the minority, I got bored and wrote an essay/character review of my take on Berkeleys personality, it ended up being quite long! So I have far too much free time on my hands. This is probably the only thing I have written for a while. I like picking characters to bits, it's fun to see what makes them tick. Although I do kinda like seeing him written as a bit of a dick sometimes, it's good fun to read.

Hmmm Drake or JJ...
I'd pick JJ, he's so different from how I am, so confident, so bubbly and energetic that it would be great to be in those shoes for a while. Also I've never really been into fashion and JJ has obvious fashion sense so it would be nice to be part of a world I'm normally so far removed from. He's also cute, who wouldn't want to be cute?
Then of course theres the whole 'being with Drake' thing that would be lovely too, Drake looks like he gives good hugs and is generally a lovely compassionate guy (if a bit of a cheapskate - seriously what does he do with his pay?!)and I like a man who doesn't dress up all the time and is pretty chilled. Someone like Dee (pretty to look at no doubt) would be far too high maintance for me. Drake seems like the kinda guy you could win over with beer and pizza while cuddled up on the sofa watching a crappy horror film. That's the type of man I want in my life.

Loz x

You can't believe I did research? Come on now, I'm a research addict! That's why my Roman love story is stalled at 20,000 words.

Yes, I noticed that Y!Gallery did not seem willing to even let me peek in through the window unless I signed up. I never heard of Y!Gallery until yesterday. I'm going to have to go back there and check it out. After my visitors leave, of course. They'll be here on Monday and this weekend is going to be All About Cleaning. Which fandom(s) did you write in?

... he secretly quite liked it... and then he never spoke of it again. LOL! Sounds pretty accurate to me! Poor Ted. I'm sure Serena didn't start him off with her biggest and most terrifying dildo.

Actually, it's canon that Berk became less of a sexually harassing dick as the series went on. He even admitted to Diana that Dee was good at his job, and much later in LLL he had obviously stopped hitting on Ryo, and Ryo was on friendly terms with him-- friendly and comfortable enough to care about his happiness and give him advice about Diana.

I'm just enjoying keeping Berk bad for the interim. I so enjoy love triangles.

Aha, I knew you would want to be JJ! Because you're half in love with Drake. Which I can totally understand. He's a man's man, but easygoing and prepared to let his significant other be the boss and have things their way. The cheapness is a problem, but I think he can be rehabilitated in that regard.

Yep, beer and pizza and a protective arm around you while vampires and werewolves waded through gore-- that's Drake's kind of date!

Oh yes, Dee is so high maintenance. So is Ryo. I've said many times that I couldn't live with either one of them.

That image of Drake and the protective arm makes me feel so very desperately single. I would be perfectly content with a guy like Drake. That's my ideal kinda date too. I really want to know what he spends that money on though, he must be on a simular pay scale to the others, Ryo managed to save enough to bail out Carols dad and Dee donates loads of his to Mother and her cause. Maybe Drake has a mortgage and all the others are just renting? Maybe he's too lazy to cook so just keeps getting take out all the time, that can eat into your budget, then of course there's the cigarettes... or maybe he just dates the wrong people who drain every penny from him in the process, I could see him being a bit of a romantic doormat. I can see the guy having one or two credit cards for just such a situation.

Out of all the characters I fear JJ would find me too boring to tolerate. Also I lack penis, that would be a problem.

The Berk thing I wrote goes thorough most of the series breaking down my interpretations of what I feel is going on (in my normal over analysing way). I kinda wrote it not expecting anyone to read it, but feel free to give it a look over, would be interesting if it sparked debate.

Y gallery is basically Yaoi Gallery, man porn, man porn everywhere. It's a weird community, some people are lovely, some are very holier than thou, some are outright grammar nazis. I don't think I ever had a beta for my work, I always got too impatient to post it, so if you ever look at it expect errors.

I mainly wrote for Naruto (I go through spurts of what I'm into) and a few one shots for different fandoms. I even took a few weird requests. But I haven't seriously written anything worth posting for over a year, and whenever I look back I waver between enjoying my work or cringing over it. I've never been 100% happy with anything I've ever written. I've always wanted to try Fake, but I doubt I could do it justice, so I kinda gave up before I started.

Hahaha, can picture a horny, tipsy Ted arriving at Serenas door months later at one in the morning, flushed and embarrassed and just mumbling something about "maybe doing that again...?"

Look at what I created! XD
Didn't want to carry on from my old whiny journal so I made a new one. Sent you a friend request. :-)

Friended! Welcome back to LJ. Love your icon. Who could possibly refrain from smiling when they look at this icon?

All right, let's try this, shall we? ^__^ Hmm....*goes off to post on my own LJ account.*

Edited at 2012-09-29 12:38 am (UTC)

1. Tell you why I friended you.

I can't remember any specific circumstances around the time when we friended each other. You first came to my LJ about four years ago, and I guess the friending must have happened around then. Like I said to Awieattie above, my policy is to friend back anyone who friends me first. Yes I know-- it's very passively 'Ryo-ish' of me, isn't it?

2. Associate you with something.

Animals! You have so many of them in your life, both inside your house and lurking around the outside of it. Also, you're the only person in either my online life or my real life who understands about 'the normal scrabbling!'

3. Tell you something I like about you.

Okay, here are a few things. 1.You have as much trouble getting rid of your old footwear as I do. 2. You were not afraid to say you liked the Twilight series. I liked it, too, but I very soon learned that the whole world is waiting to pounce with bared claws on anyone who admits to liking Twilight! 3. You're a person who loves reading and you totally understand about sinking into a book. And I've been fortunate that you have been willing to read my stories and let yourself sink into them.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

OMG, that would have to be the skunk! I'm still in awe of your bravery.

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

Um, Dee and Ryo? Severus and Harry? There are probably pairings in the other books you read that I don't know about.

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

You've got a lot of education goin' on there, girl! What are you studying?

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

Your Unipeg one. I just could not get a separate link for it. I seem to be having intermittent computer problems

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.

Yep! You have to do it now. If a horde of Harry Potter readers converge on you, you can blame me!

Haha. Yes, I found your stories and fell in love, so I friended you so I could get updates, 'cause I'm greedy like that. *extends grabby hands*

Lolz. I swear, if it's not a pet, it's wild. And speaking of skunks, we have an adolescent skunk that hangs out with the cats and eats their food at night. We had to stop feeding them dinner after dark. If nothing else, maybe they'll go hunt now. As for the scrabbling, we had a mouse in my brother's room not too long ago. I just ignored it until he got caught. Heh.

Yes, footwear is something that I despise getting rid of. But that's because it's so hard to find something that fits and is comfortable that I don't want to have to go shopping for more. *sobs*

Ah, Twilight. Collecting the DVDs too, as they come out, but that's just because I loved the books. The movies themselves leave much to be desired. My next batch of movies will probably be the Hunger Games trilogy. ^__^ Haven't gotten into Shades of Gray, though it seems awfully popular around here.

Awww...you're welcome! Like I said, I truly adore your stories and love seeing an update.

Bwahahaha. Yes, linking me to a pairing would have been hard. I'm mostly into anime now, so you don't see many non-anime. Dee x Ryo, Severus x Harry, Logan x Remus or Logan x Kurt, and I think that's about it as far as non-anime.

Well, I have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Right now, though, I'm doing clerical work. Which is nice and easy, but not worth the cost of my degrees. I was accepted for a transfer in the fiscal department, though, which moves me up one pay level, and might actually require me to use a little bit of those degrees. Yay.

I think it's the only userpic of mine I've ever used, isn't it? It's one that I drew, which is why you won't find it anywhere else. I drew it in art class one day, and scanned it into my computer, and decided it would make a pretty avatar. Because my drawing skills leave much to be desired. >.<

Will post it! I'm posting just the meme itself, not your answers to mine, correct? ^__^

Thanks so much for answering! It was fun to read, and to see what you remembered (or researched, whichever)

I haven't read the Hunger Games, nor have I seen the movie. I had an opportunity to go with my sister and her kids back when it came out, but I couldn't make it on the evening they were going, so, poof! there went my chance. I tend not to go to movies unless someone organizes me into it.

I'm looking forward to reading HG, though. I like YA, and I've heard good things about this trilogy.

I've seen only two of the Twilight movies. I really should go and rent the ones I haven't seen. I think there have been two more since the second one, or am I mistaken? Movies can never cover everything that the books can. God I love those big cuddly wolves, though.

I don't know about Shades of Grey... Maybe one of these days. I heard it started as an Edward/Bella fanfic. It sure has taken the world by storm, hasn't it?

You drew all your userpics, didn't you? They're all the same art style and similar themes. What a great idea. I should draw a picture and make a userpic out of it, too.

Congrats on moving up a pay level! Yes, education is so expensive, particularly in the USA. In Canada, it still takes money, but at least we get some government subsidy.

It was a combination of remembering and research. My memory is pretty good, but I like to double check that I'm remembering correctly.

Thanks for participating. That was fun!

Edited at 2012-10-01 11:05 pm (UTC)

The books are much better than the movies, from what I've heard. Twilight's the same way. I didn't know that about Shades of Gray, actually. I just know that it's quite popular at work right now. I do my best to not be interested in anything that's popular with my co-workers. Twilight was my brother's suggetion, Hunger games was my mother's, and Water for Elephants was my stepdad's suggestion. Lol. And with all of them, the books were much better compared to the movies.

Yep! All of those userpics are ones that I drew myself. And all in art class back in high school. So those drawings are 10-12 years old by now. Urgh. And the funniest part? My drawing got even worse over time! &__&

Haha. I was happy to participate. Yours was easy to do on mine. I'm sure I'm missing stuff, but I'm absent from LJ so much that I doubt it would seriously change my answers. I check my e-mail, and when I see an update from you, I pop on over here. Lol.

Thanks so much, brit! ^__^

Pick me! Pick me! *waves hand*

1. Tell you why I friended you.

You first popped up on my LJ on Sept. 13, 2008. I honestly can't remember at which point we became friends. But we did and we still are, despite the fact that FAKE is no longer one of your fandoms. I've been reading your posts for years, as you went from Sebastopol, to the UK, to Berkeley and reported on your various thoughts about each place and the experiences you were having. I have never stopped being impressed with the way you express yourself and the way your mind works.

2. Associate you with something.

Moonstones! I literally cannot ever see one, anywhere, in a store or on a person, without thinking of you.

3. Tell you something I like about you.
Oh, jeez, so many things. But here are a few random ones. 1. Your attention to detail. You notice small details and cross-reference them to similar things in your own experience and in your other reading, and then come up with insights that would be amazing even in a person much older than you. 2. You like bubble wrap! You even rolled in it! *Hug!* So cute. 3. You found Emma 'soothingly witty'! I have to remember that because that is exactly how I feel about Georgette Heyer. 4. You are a gentle and peace-loving person who goes through life doing her best to be kind to others and do no harm.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

I guess it would be the way you fell in love with Your Hat, which reminded me of my own Special Hat love story, which ended tragically. But you didn't let yours get away. You went and bought it and then carried it joyfully across the threshold of your home. I know the two of you will have a long and fabulous relationship!

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

Well, I'd have to say I associate you with Renly and Loras, which will probably shock you, since you don't mention them much anymore, but I never would have heard of them if not for you, and I wouldn't have had any interest in Game Of Thrones at all, if not for your mention of Renly and Loras. BTW, I still haven't read the first book in the series. It's in my bookcase waiting for a propitious time.

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

I would have been able to post this meme-response last night if I hadn't gotten stuck on this one. I've been trying to think what I could possibly ask you that I don't already know and that wouldn't be an impertinent or impolite invasion of your privacy. I already know where you live, where you go to school, a lot about your family and pets, your activities with your friends, your travel history, your favorite fandoms, your food likes and dislikes, a fair bit about your wardrobe, your future career plans... what's left to ask? Okay, how about a conditional question. I think maybe you'll get a certain amount of enjoyment out of this one!

If you absolutely had to go and live in one of the following fandom worlds for five years with no trips back home until the five years was up, which one would you choose and why? (a) France in the world and time of Temeraire (b) Numenor in LOTR, in the second age, when Elendil was a young man, or (c) Babylon 5, Season 3, Year 2260?

You would be some kind of a scribe/secretary/librarian in each world, and not in the forefront of battle or anything excessively unpleasant.

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

Ten and the kitty! http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/98743366/14009326

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.

Yes, you must. Well, okay, of course I recognize I have no real power to make you comply, but I hope you will!

Wow, this is one of the most awesome things anyone has ever said about me! I have a kind heart and am associated with moonstones and Renly/Loras...what more could anyone ask for?

I have to remember that because that is exactly how I feel about Georgette Heyer.
LOL, this is the third time someone has recommended Georgette Heyer to me today, I think the universe is trying to tell me something. Are her novels in one continuous series, and if not, what's a good jumping-on point for her?

For the conditional question (ooh, you do know how to make them difficult, don't you?): um...probably Numenor. This was a tough one! Dragons and Elvish and Space Elves, oh my. Just going through the libraries of Numenor, and hopefully managing to save a few things to bring into Middle-earth is a Ringer's (well, this Ringer's anyway) dream come true, and while the draw of dragons cannot be denied, women's rights still weren't exactly robust in the early 19th century, and I haven't finished Babylon 5 yet, so I don't know whether it gets blown up or anything.

And, lol, that addendum about staying far away from situations that might get one killed and related unpleasantness is an important one to have! Camping out in the libraries of Numenor until I'd read everything: awesome. Getting sunk along with Numenor: slightly less so. XD

*toddles off to re-post on my own journal*

Georgette Heyer wrote regency romances and detective novels. I don't enjoy her detective novels very much, but I loved the witty banter in her regency romances. Some of them were more coming of age stories than romances. I have one of her books, "Sylvester", on my kindle and I'm allowed to lend kindle books to other readers for 14 days if the publisher allows it. You don't have to be a kindle owner, either. If you want me to lend it to you, say the word. Anytime is fine.

Every other Heyer book in my possession is a paperback.

Anyway, my favorite Heyer book is Venetia, but I really love all of her regencies.

Don't worry, you wouldn't have gotten sunk in Numenor!(Thought of that) The Downfall didn't happen until 200 years after Elendil was born. His sons were grown by that time. I covered you by making your five years happen in the time when Elendil was a young man. Happy reading in the libraries!

I'm an unabashed sucker for the Regency, but I gotta admit I'd never heard of her detective stories before. I've heard wonderful things about her Regency romances, though, so I'm adding her to my To-Read list.

I have one of her books, "Sylvester", on my kindle and I'm allowed to lend kindle books to other readers for 14 days if the publisher allows it.
Sadly, these days, I doubt I can finish a novel in two weeks. And ebooks tend to give me a headache, which is why I haven't bought an ereader yet, although things like word searches and the ability to carry one's entire library in one's purse/backpack is tempting. It looks like my local library has Venetia, though, so I'll see what I can do about about acquiring it...

I covered you by making your five years happen in the time when Elendil was a young man.
Oops, looks like I skipped the "five years" part by accident. XD Well, then, Numenor even more! All the libraries, none of the apocalypses (apocalypsi?).

1. Tell you why I friended you.

I friended you because you friended me! It wasn't that long ago, so I remember it was last February. You sent me a PM asking if I minded if you friended me, which was very sweet of you. As if I'd mind! Who wouldn't want more friends, especially if they are nice people and enjoy one's stories?

2. Associate you with something.

I associate you with FAKE, because you got so fired up about the fandom that you started writing and posting your own stories.

3. Tell you something I like about you.

You're really resilient. You have a lot to deal with, but you roll with the punches and get back up. You have kept your hopes and dreams alive, and I have no doubt you'll achieve them someday. You're creative and you make things happen.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

Two things. Your love of horses and your desire to someday go and live in Japan. I really, really hope you can someday get a horse, or at least find a way to spend more time around them. I am also looking forward to someday reading about your future trip to Japan!

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

Dee and Ryo, of course!

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

How did you and your husband meet, and who made the first move? I love hearing other peoples' love stories. If you don't like this question for any reason, don't be shy about saying so. I'll come up with another one.

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

This one: Big Bikky! http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/117049345/46739945 I totally love your collection of userpics. They are all fantastic.

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.

Please do!

1. Tell you why I friended you.

According to my records (Thank you, Gmail search feature!), you made your first appearance on my LJ in November 2008. I'm ashamed to say I didn't get around to thanking you for your comment until February of 2009. But after consulting my user profile, I see that we never did friend each other! Oh well. The connection still goes back three years--almost four.

2. Associate you with something.

Japan! I noticed you were there right through the summer, but you didn't seem to be dying from the heat, or anything. You were further north from Tokyo, which is where I spent the most horribly hot summer of my entire life. How hot was the summer in Akita?

3. Tell you something I like about you.

(a)You are open-minded and easygoing. You listen to other people's viewpoints and try to see the merit in what they are saying, even if you don't agree. (b) You're a fellow-writer, and you understand about the burning need to write. BTW, 'Old Lady' was my favorite.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

The ten-word birthday fic you wrote for me! You managed to convey a lot in only ten words. The interesting thing about that challenge was the way ten little words trigger a storm of other words in the reader's brain. Oh, and images, too.

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

It's got to be Dee/Ryo, of course!

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

Is your stepfather still the same as he was three years ago, or has he lightened up a bit now that you are older?

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

The green scythe one. For some reason I couldn't grab a separate link for it.

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.

Yep! You have to do it now. Well, I can't make you of course, but if you don't do it, I'll send Ted over to entertain you with lame dirty jokes until you're ready to throttle him. (But don't throttle him-- he's a cop)

I'm usually shy about reviewing for people and talking to authors but you make it easy to respond to your words and writing when I feel it necessary. Yea, I spent an entire four months there for a study abroad program. It was awesome and it was hot in Akita but I rather like the heat, just can't explain why I'm still in New York where the winter is cold. My roommate would turn on the aircon and I would freeze in my dorm room.

Thanks, I try my hardest to never judge someone by their look because there's so much of a person's personality that you just can't see from the way they look. I do love writing, I'm just happy to be back in the mood to write again.

That ten-word fic was harder to write than I had thought but it did turn out well. YES, favorite pairing and characters can't get enough of Dee or Ryo need them and their love. Really wish the mangaka would get back to the sequel of her first series.

Sort of, my stepfather's time in the military has made him more serious but he's easier to entertain. As for lightening up, he's more tight-lipped now that my mom is dead.

As for my scythe picture, just google Duo Maxwell and scythe's you should find it. I have a fascination with scythe's and grim reapers for some reason. And I shall post it right after I post this!

I know what you mean about being shy. I'm not shy about commenting on people's LJs, but I do feel a bit nervous sometimes about approaching authors. What if someone can't take concrit? What if I like the person but hate the story/pairing/fandom, or their writing style? Or I love the story etc. but find the author themselves difficult to approach? Sometimes it's easier to lurk, or completely avoid.

My dad likes the heat, too! If he could live in a hot climate year-round, he would. me, I wilt in anything over 22 degrees Celsius. I ride my bike in winter with my coat open and no gloves on.

Aren't those ten-word fics hard? Even harder than haiku.

I'm glad your stepfather has gotten easier to be with. I feel bad for him that he lost his life-partner, however.

1. Tell you why I friended you.

This is the easiest question to answer because I'll friend anyone who friends me first! I know, not very proactive of me, is it? But basically, what does it mean to 'friend' someone? Lots of people have friended me but have not stayed in touch, or, in many cases, have never commented at all. To me, a true LJ friend is a person with whom I have a mutually communicative and aware relationship, even if we don't check in often or sometimes have long gaps between check-ins. Anyway! (Steps down from little speech podium) I first became aware of you four and a half years ago when you gave me a fabulous review for FFYT: A New Day on adultfanfiction.com as 'Capitalist", though you identified yourself right away as Peacewish. You told me you had friended me on LJ, and I probably friended you right back that same hour.

2. Associate you with something.

Libertarianism. I had never even heard of Libertarians until I started reading your LJ. In fact, I initially mistook you for a Republican, if you'll remember! * Hangs head in shame*

3. Tell you something I like about you.

Here's a list: 1. Your courage. 2. Your sense of humor. 3. Your sense of fairness. 4. Your clever way with words. 5. Your creativity. 6. Your work ethic.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

Well, I have a lot. Here's another list: (a)The card you sent me when you finally figured out postage to Canada ;D, (b) the fact that you actually Ran. For. Office. (I still can't believe I know someone who did that), (c) your willingness to forgive that little snot who stole your story, (d) the way you sided with Ryo's aversion (okay, it's a seducable aversion, but if he actually thinks about it, he starts feeling horrified) to a particular sex act in my story Heat Wave, (e) your loathing of the word 'Eurocentric", which, I'll admit, mystifies me somewhat, (f) your intriguing little whip fetish, and (g) your 365 Days of Freedom Project.

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

Drake/JJ? Just kidding! *Ducks thrown object* Okay, let's get serious. Jazz and Soundwave

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

Have you ever considered writing a Fake fic, even a short one? And if not, why not? (Cuz it would be awesome)

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

This one http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/100971460/2301948 because it is by far the most vivid and dramatic of your userpics. Why do you only have six? LJ lets you have more than that.

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.

Nah, you're released of all obligation on this one, since I got it from you in the first place.

Hey, look at what I found when I was cleaning out my email inbox. You asked me a question and everything, and I totally didn't respond.

Have I ever considered writing a Fake fic? Unfortunately, no. It's not that I don't love the story, and Matoh left behind a lot of gaps that need filling. The spirit is willing, the talent is weak. Fake's best feature is its humor, and I'm not at all talented in writing comedy, though I wish I were. So if I can't write a funny Fake fic, then I don't want to write one at all, and no inspiration has ever struck. That's okay, though, I've enjoyed reading yours and Swordys' work over the years, and that's enough for me.

So long as you never abandon your story midway through, of course. Then I'd have to kill you.

I'll never abandon my story midway because I think that's a rotten thing to do to one's readers.

Too bad about the Fake fic... Oh well, at least you write other things, and share your talent with the world.

I'm responding! :D Do you want me to answer the questions too?

<3 Neengy!

1. Tell you why I friended you.

Well, it would certainly have been because you friended me, but I'm so glad you've continued to come back and check in with me all these years, because you're just so much fun! The first Neengy-message I ever received, according to extensive research of my email and my LJ, was on May 01st, 2008, chapter 5 of StaG, in which you exclaimed that I was a tease. (I humbly apologized) After that you popped up randomly all over my journal's timeline.

2. Associate you with something.

Sugar!

3. Tell you something I like about you.

You're helpful and kind, and you enjoy your life. You love your family and you don't hold back from getting excited about things. You're really a fully alive kind of person. Also, you read A New Day all over again and left me fun little comments as you did it. I love you for that. Oh, and I really like your user name. It's my favorite out of all the user names I've heard in my life. It's so 'you'. Cute, funny, bouncy and memorable!

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.

How about nine? 1. Veggie-sadist (Yes, you!) 2. Five chapters in half an hour. (Holy Crap!) 3. "No such thing as leftover sushi." (life lessons for a brother) 4. Yummy crock pot recipe featuring pork, salsa and (of course) brown SUGARRRR! 5. Blackberry jello. (We still don't have it in Canada, or at least, not in any of the places where I shop. *Sigh*) 6. You were the unicorn in a play. Now you have something in common with Matthew Mitcham http://www.advocate.com/arts-entertainment/entertainment-news/2010/04/08/matthew-mitcham-dresses-unicorn-gaga 7. Brit-o-saurus! 8. Your helpful list of Irish drinking songs. 9. The sweet, fluffy, puzzle-ring Dee/Ryo fanfic you wrote for me for my birthday in 2011.

I could go on and on, but I really think I should stop!

5. Associate you with a character/pairing.

I think that has to be Dee/Ryo. But you also like Sirius/Remus... Or is it Remus/Sirius?

6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.

If you could go and live in a foreign country for a year, which one would you choose and why?

7. Tell you my favourite userpic of yours.

That adorable little sleeping white fox-critter! Love it to bits. I hope this link works. http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/99364089/12364169

8. Tell you that you must post this in your own journal.

Yes, you have to do it now. You haven't posted anything in your journal since May, you busy student, you! I will of course pounce on it the minute you post it. But, don't be in a rush if you've got midterms, etc. The Brit-o-saurus is a patient being.
